Buildings That Lasts

The operation of the bridge extends not only to cars and pedestrians but also to the ships that sale below. Because of the London River which changes with the tide, the passage was built in such a way that large boats and yachts containing billions of supplies that came from all around the globe can pass through the bridge without destroying it. The bridge was made like a gate which splits in the centre and moves up until it reaches about 90 degrees giving way to large ships that need to pass the river going to the ports. This would create a temporary traffic in most cars and land vehicles but has proven to be a lot of help in order to connect the city into one. The most amazing fact for the London bridge is that it was made years ago, long before more modern equipment’s were invented. The mechanisms that were used in this structure were at that time, state of the art. And it is really true because today, some of the bridges use the same principles to get things done.
